The ASB program in middle school is a student leadership organization that gives students the opportunity to get involved in planning and organizing school events, promoting school spirit, and learning about leadership, teamwork, and responsibility.
-
ASB exists to:
Represent the voice of the student body
Create a positive and inclusive school culture
Plan fun and meaningful activities such as dances, spirit weeks, fundraisers, and community service projects
Promote leadership skills and encourage student involvement
-
At our school, both the ASB (Associated Student Body) and the HSC (Home & School Club) hold fundraisers—but they serve different purposes and follow different rules.
💙 ASB Fundraising
Run by students and staff
Supports student activities like dances, spirit weeks, clubs, and school events
Fundraisers are student-led and part of leadership and teamwork development
Funds are managed by the school and must benefit the entire student body
❤️ HSC Fundraising
Run by parent volunteers
Supports teachers, classrooms, and school-wide programs
Helps pay for things like field trips, classroom supplies, assemblies, and teacher appreciation
Funds are managed by the HSC, an independent parent group
Both ASB and HSC play important roles in creating a fun, supportive, and enriching school environment for all students!
