From the 2026-27 Student Handbook:
MATERIALS REQUIRED AT IDA PRICE SCHOOLStudents are to arrive at school each day with the materials they will need to be successful in all of their classes. While students are encouraged to bring their own supplies from home, basic supplies necessary for students to participate in the school day will be provided by the school.
Staff may issue requests for voluntary donations to help offset the cost of providing student supplies, though failure to provide a donation will not impact a student’s ability to participate in class (CA Ed. Code 49011 [1]).
Charged Chromebooks, pens, pencils, paper, and assigned materials are to be brought daily.
The student agenda is required and is supplied to every student. It contains information that pertains to every aspect of our school program and will certainly help to make this a successful year. -

The ASB program in middle school is a student leadership organization that gives students the opportunity to get involved in planning and organizing school events, promoting school spirit, and learning about leadership, teamwork, and responsibility.
From the 2026-27 Student Handbook:
STUDENT COUNCIL / LEADERSHIPStudents have an opportunity to participate in student government at Price through participation in the Student Council and the Leadership Class. Every student is represented in the council through his/her representative in their core classes. Our student government promotes a positive school climate, encourages loyalty and school spirit, and develops leadership skills. The student body officers are elected in the Spring for the following year.
-
ASB / Student Leadership exists to:
Represent the voice of the student body
Create a positive and inclusive school culture
Plan fun and meaningful activities such as dances, spirit weeks, fundraisers, and community service projects
Promote leadership skills and encourage student involvement
-
At our school, both the ASB (Associated Student Body)/Student Leadership and the HSC (Home & School Club) hold fundraisers—but they serve different purposes and follow different rules.
💙 ASB/Student Leadership Fundraising
Run by students and staff
Supports student activities like dances, spirit weeks, clubs, and school events
Fundraisers are student-led and part of leadership and teamwork development
Funds are managed by the school and must benefit the entire student body
❤️ HSC Fundraising
Run by parent volunteers
Supports teachers, classrooms, and school-wide programs
Helps pay for things like field trips, classroom supplies, assemblies, and teacher appreciation
Funds are managed by the HSC, an independent parent group
Both ASB/Student Leadership and HSC play important roles in creating a fun, supportive, and enriching school environment for all students!
